SAP IT Analyst

Competitive Power Ventures, Inc. CPV is looking for an experienced SAP IT Analyst who will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the company’s SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud environment. This role focuses on troubleshooting and supporting the Finance (FI) and Group Reporting (GR) modules, enabling new functionality, developing integrations, and creating business reports. The ideal candidate will possess strong SAP technical expertise, solid accounting knowledge, and experience enabling innovation within the SAP Public Cloud ecosystem.


This position is based in Silver Spring, MD, and the ideal candidate will work a minimum of three (3) days in office (Monday – Wednesday).


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, with emphasis on the FI and Group Reporting (GR) modules.
  • Collaborate with business users to identify, analyze, and resolve system issues, ensuring efficient financial reporting and consolidation processes.
  • Enable and configure new features and innovations released in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud to improve financial operations and reporting capabilities.
  • Design, develop, and maintain integrations between SAP and external systems using SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) and related tools.
  • Create, modify, and maintain custom and standard financial reports, leveraging SAP Analysis for Office and other reporting tools.
  • Utilize Central Business Configuration (CBC) for system setup, landscape management, and deployment activities.
  • Partner with Accounting and IT teams to translate business requirements into scalable, compliant SAP solutions.
  • Support testing, change management, and release activities across SAP environments.
  • Monitor system performance and collaborate with SAP support to ensure reliability and adherence to best practices.
  • Stay current with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud releases, innovations, and roadmaps to proactively recommend enhancements.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of IT experience, including at least 3 years supporting SAP systems.
  • Expert-level experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, focusing on Finance (FI) and Group Reporting (GR) modules.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial consolidation principles.
  • Hands-on experience with CBC (Central Business Configuration), BTP (Business Technology Platform), and SAP Analysis for Office.
  • Proven ability to configure, troubleshoot, and support SAP integrations and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Preferred: SAP certification(s) in S/4HANA Cloud or relevant modules (FI/GR).
  • Preferred: Experience implementing or optimizing S/4HANA Group Reporting solutions.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or other enterprise reporting tools.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background and financial credit check

Compensation: The base annual salary range for this position is $125,000-$165,000 in the Company’s good faith estimate. The actual base salary for this position will be contingent upon individual experience, role responsibilities, and office location.

In addition to base salary, this position allows additional compensation and benefits, including:

  • an annual discretionary bonus up to 15%, variable based on individual and company performance,
  • accrued paid time off (PTO) of 120 hours per year, and up to 13 company-paid holidays

The base annual salary range may be modified in the future.
