Public Notice and Application for Keasbey Energy Center

In accordance with New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Administrative Order  2021-25, Competitive Power Ventures, Inc. (“CPV”) will hold a public information session for the purpose of receiving oral and/or written comments on its proposal to construct the Keasbey  Energy Center, located in Woodbridge Township. CPV has applied for a modification to the Title V Permit (Permit Application Number: BOP 160004 / Program Interest Number: 18940), a NJPDES construction permit, and plans to apply for a waterfront development permit. The session will be held via virtual attendance/Teams on 2/28/2023, from 6:00 PM EST to 8:00 PM via Teams. Please send an email to to register for the event and receive your link. 

CPV will also receive and consider written comments for 60 days. The written comment period will start on 1/27/2023 and will end at 5:00 pm on 3/31/2023. CPV will respond to all timely-submitted comments.  

The proposed Keasbey Energy Center is a proposed 657- megawatt combined-cycle natural gas electric generating facility, located on a brownfield site and is a reuse of a long abandoned chemical plant in the Keasbey section of Woodbridge, NJ. The project is adjacent to CPV’s existing Woodbridge Energy Center.
